In older apartments that were built without a dishwasher provision, none of these may be in place. Yes. This is one of the most common dishwasher jobs we carry out in Dubai apartments. Provided there’s a cold water supply pipe under the sink cabinet and the sink waste fitting has space for a waste spigot, we can install the full plumbing connection without needing to run new pipework through walls. In most kitchen layouts this is straightforward and takes under two hours.
We handle the plumbing connections. Positioning the machine into its cabinet slot and levelling it is something we can assist with, but delivery and heavy lifting of a brand-new appliance is outside our scope. If the machine is already in position or you just need the plumbing connected after delivery, we’re the right call.
Either is possible. Inlet hose leaks tend to produce a slow drip when the machine is filling. Waste hose leaks appear when the machine is draining. The quickest way to distinguish them is to note at which point in the cycle water appears. We carry replacement hoses and fittings for both, so in most cases it’s fixed in a single visit once we’ve identified the fault.
Yes. In most Dubai kitchens we connect the dishwasher waste directly into the sink waste fitting using a spigot connection, which is the standard approach and does not require a separate standpipe. The sink waste fitting usually has a blanked-off spigot that we open up and connect to. If the existing waste fitting has no spigot, we replace it with one that does.
In most Dubai tenancy agreements, connecting a dishwasher using the existing under-sink plumbing is considered a minor addition rather than a structural modification. However, tenancy terms vary — if you’re unsure, it’s worth checking your contract or getting written permission from your landlord before we proceed. We can provide a brief description of the work for that purpose if needed.
